Whataburger and Sweet Tea...Texas Indeed!: Howdy! This is my second government class and have enjoyed the learning experience so far. I need to take this class for my associates in Science. I have always considered myself a Democrat and I believe that all citizens of this country should be treated equally regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnics, religion and so on. There should be affordable health care and education, and equal wages for women. There are many that are fooled into thinking that we are equal in every aspect but that is not the truth, as you can see what is going on in this country. Currently, there is so much hate and division with people being offended by everything, maybe if we learned to communicate instead of being deaf. I know a bit about our Texas government as I pay more attention to the national government, as it is a trying time for this country. Politicians that have influenced me are President Obama, and up and coming Beto O'Rourke and Julian Castro. I was hoping that Castro would enter the presidential race for 2020 and lo and behold, he's in! I believe he will do what he can to put a band aid on this country that is broken. It will take forever to make this country "Great" , was it ever?
